3 refreshing drinks for this hot season
On these hot days, we crave something to cool off with, and to forget that stuffy feeling at the office, on the street, at home, or wherever we are, we crave a cold shower. But since we can't spend all our time under the shower, the best option is to cool off with a delicious drink.
For that reason, here we tell you how you can prepare some delicious drinks that will refresh you, give you energy, and also provide you with the vitamins you need to stay healthy.
1.- Green Drink

Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups of purified water or a cup of cold coconut water
- 1 lime juice
- 1 ½ cups chopped vegetables
- 1 handful of parsley, cilantro or mint
- ½ cucumber, diced
- 1 small apple, cored and diced
- 1/2 cup ice cream + diced peaches or mango
- 1 small piece of peeled ginger (optional)
Preparation
Blend all ingredients in the order listed above until well combined. Refrigerate for one hour.
2.- Strawberry, rose water and chia seed drink

Ingredients
- 1 cup of chopped strawberries.
- 4 cups of purified water or make a mixture of half coconut water and half purified water.
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds.
- 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice.
- 1 teaspoon rose water (optional).
Preparation
Blend the strawberries with the water and strain it once blended. Add the chia seeds to the blended water and stir well. Cover the jar or container and refrigerate for an hour to allow the chia seeds to turn into gel. After refrigeration, add the lemon juice and rose water, stir well, and it's ready to drink! You can serve it with lemon slices and ice if you prefer.
3.- Carrot and ginger

Ingredients
- 1 large lemon or two small lemons, peeled and chopped
- 4 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 2 small pieces of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 4 cups of water
- 1/4 or 1/3 cup maple syrup or agave nectar.
Preparation
Blend the lemon, carrot, and ginger with the water until well combined, then strain to separate the solids. Once strained, add the maple syrup or agave nectar, as desired, and blend again for 20 seconds. Add nectar or syrup to sweeten to your liking, if needed. Chill for an hour and it's ready to drink! You can serve it over ice if you prefer.
It's important to remember that whenever you're going to prepare one of these drinks, you should thoroughly wash and disinfect all the fruits and vegetables you're going to consume.
